Futurist Preview for the Sperimental Lyric Season of Spoleto

“Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto”, one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the city, is ready for the double preview of the 69° Lyric Season at San Nicolò.
The kermesse, titled “Tarataratarata Eine Kleine Klostermusik”, will bring the audience to discover the musical Futurism, thanks to the collaboration of Daniele Lombardi, composer, pianist and great expert of the features regarding the futurist avantgarde. In his multimedial show of musical theatre, there wil be also the performance of Arte Media Firenze and it is composed by four programmes, that take place in different scenarios in the San Nicolò complex.

Directed by Fabio Maestri and Lombardi himself, many singers and instrumentalists of the “Lirico Sperimentale” will attend the preview, along with the famous flautist Roberto Fabbriciani e the soprano Ana Spasic; the screenplay is by Filippo Tommaso Martinetti, scene coordination by Luca Bargagna and music by Lombardi.
There are great expectations for the preview, scheduled for next 12th and 13th August at 6:00 p.m., while the Season will be inaugurated on 11th September.

On Sunday 19th July 2015 the musical event Spoleto Study Abroad comes back to Spoleto; a cultural project designed by Lorenzo Ricci Muti, who has been promoting the intellectual and artistic success of young american musicians, for the last 18 years. The iniziative aims to appraise and stimulate the knowledge of Spoleto city, its history and its cultural heritage in young artists, who try the internship experience. Students come not only from United States, but from all corners of the worlds, like Russia, Spagna, Singapore, Svezia, accompanied by teachers, selected for their technical experience and genuine passion in working with young students. During the three-week programme, both American and Italian teachers will perform in concerts and several other events, in order to share their talent and technical ability.  Spoleto Study Abroad will be directed by Lorenzo Muti, musician of Spoleto origins while his wife Jill is the director of a prestigious private school in Charleston, South Carolina.

The concert series will take place in the Menotti Hall at AlbornoZ Palace Hotel of Spoleto and will have the same structure of the midday concerts of the Festival of the Two Worlds. The event will starts on Sunday 19th July at 11.00 am,  music by Claude Debussy , Faurè, Massenet, Casella, Reinecke. At the piano Simona Granelli, contralto Mary Gayle Greene, flute Jill Muti.
Following, on Sunday 26th July, at 11.00 am, music by C.Ph. E. Bach, Giancarlo Menotti, Handel, Barber, Scarlatti. At the piano Simona Granelli, contralto Mary Gayle Greene, flute Jill Muti, harpsichord Angelo Rosati, violoncello Ivo Scarponi.
The event will end on Thursday 30 July, at 9.30 pm, music by Bracci, Burton, Gershwin, Shumann, Vivaldi. At the piano Simona Granelli, contralto Mary Gayle Greene, flute Jill Muti, harpsichord Angelo Rosati, violoncello Ivo Scarponi.
